Shooting Stuff Terms for Firearm Sales

 1. We expressly note that all regulated firearms are sold and supplied by Shooting Stuff CC, a licensed dealer in firearms and ammunition.
 2. Financing is possible through our trusted partner, call us to discuss the options available.
 3. All firearms are sold for the full purchase price and the full purchase price is payable up front.
 3.1 Any special orders (not in stock at Shooting Stuff) require payment in full, or as agreed, before Shooting Stuff will arrange to procure said firearm.
 3.2 Should any other payment terms be agreed between the parties, Shooting Stuff may increase the advertised price appropriately (typically 5% for two payments).
 3.3 The purchase price includes a SAPS 271 license application form.
 3.3.1 Additional forms, duplicate copies or reprints, including temporary authorisations, attract an additional charge.
 4. Ownership of the firearm passes to the Purchaser with full payment of the purchase price and upon the firearm being taken into stock at Shooting Stuff. Shooting Stuff will only hand the firearm over upon presentation of a legally issued firearm license or permit and all outstanding storage fees paid.
 4.1 Shooting Stuff will not charge any storage fees while license applications are pending, for a period of up to 4 calendar months commencing on the first of the month following the month in which the firearm was purchased.
 4.2  Shooting Stuff may levy storage fees thereafter at their prevailing rate, and as amended annually.
 5. Shooting Stuff stores all firearms at the owner’s risk in a SAPS approved safe or strong room conforming to SABS standards.
 5.1  Shooting Stuff personnel will make all reasonable attempts to ensure that firearms are safely and securely stored, and that they are maintained in a good condition.
 5.2  Please note that firearms are not insured.
 6.  In the event that a firearm purchase is cancelled for whatever reason, Shooting Stuff undertakes to assist the owner in selling the firearm under conditions agreed between the parties at that time.
 6.1 Notwithstanding this and at its sole discretion, Shooting Stuff may refund the purchase price of normally stocked firearms, less a 30% re-stocking fee (minimum R3 000). 
 6.2  Notwithstanding this and at its sole discretion, should a license application be denied for whatever reason and a subsequent appeal also fail, Shooting Stuff may refund the purchase price of normally stocked firearms, less a 20% re-stocking fee (minimum R2 000).
 6.3 In all cases, the purchaser must supply Shooting Stuff with formal documentation to support a cancellation:
i. Sworn affidavit that no license application has been submitted to SAPS, or
ii. Stamped SAPS 533 form, Request to Cancel a Firearm Licence, Permit, Certificate or Authorization, or
iii. Stamped refusal letter from SAPS
 6.4 Shooting Stuff reserves the right to recover costs (e.g. storage, maintenance, etc.) against said sale before transferring ownership or possession to any other party, although the initial purchaser remains ultimately liable for such amounts.
 7.  As required by legislation, Shooting Stuff must physically possess a firearm before issuing license application forms.
