The Double Alpha Dry-Fire Practice Magazine emulates the feel and performance of a fully loaded real magazine. This allows for dry-fire without dummy loaded rounds to weight down real magazines, which can be risky.
This magazine comes close to the actual weight of a fully loaded mag. The spring-loaded follower is on top of the mag pushing up against the slide as you insert it into the gun, making it feel like the real thing.
Per single Dry-Fire Practice Magazine.
No ammo of any kind can be loaded into these magazines, helping to keep your dry-fire safe and ammo-free while the colour and red follower make it clear these are not real magazines.
The mag and follower are designed NOT to activate the slide stop so you can practice racking the slide as you load, without having it lock back.
The DAA Dry-Fire Practice Mag is constructed of durable fiber-reinforced nylon, and can take a beating. But Double Alpha still recommends to avoid dropping the mags onto a concrete floor, as they are heavy and some damage may occur. Some customers have had breakage of the upper lips when dropping on concrete! Dropping onto tiled floors may damage both the floor and the magazine.
We recommend dropping onto a carpeted floor or something that can absorb the impact.
Even though most magwells fit this magazine, some magwells may prevent the magazine from seating correctly. The Double Alpha Dry-Fire Practice Magazine has been designed to easily file with a filer or dremmel tool to combat this issue.
