The CZ P-09 Semi-Auto Pistol – 9mm (FDE) is a modern firearm with a lightweight polymer frame, chambered for 9mm Luger (9mm P, 9 x 19mm) calibre ammunition. This first generation handgun holds 19 + 1 cartridges using the standard magazine; higher capacity and/or extended capacity magazines are available.

The CZ P-09 is one of a modern range of polymer-framed handguns from the Czech firearms company. This high-capacity pistol is designed for law-enforcement and the military; it's the compact P-07's big brother. The P-09 also features the revolutionary Omega trigger mechanism.
Safety features include an ambidextrous, manually operated, frame-mounted safety catch (optionally a decocker) and an automatic firing pin block. All these are built around the proven Omega trigger system.
The slide features front serrations for easy cocking and is fitted with steel sights that feature contrasting, luminscent dots. Self-illuminating, Tritium night sights are an available option. Steel parts have an extremely durable surface finish.
The durable, fibreglass-reinforced polymer frame features an integral accessory rail for weapon-mounted lights, etc. The grip offers interchangeable backstraps that allows the shooter to alter the ergonomics to their preferred grip size - small, medium or large. The magazine release catch is reversible for left-handed shooters.
This model has a frame finished in the popular FDE (Flat Dark Earth) colour, and includes self-luminous Tritium night sights as standard.
