A natural evolution of the 9mm CZ 75 into the powerful .45 ACP calibre, the CZ 97 B has been called the most accurate, serially produced 'combat pistol' in .45 ACP.
The DA/SA trigger allows a typical "long, hard pull" for the first double-action shot, and a "short, crisp pull" for subsequent shots. Safety features include a manually operated, frame-mounted safety catch and an automatic firing pin block, as well as a loaded chamber indicator.
The top of the slide is enhanced with anti-reflective serrations for better shooting comfort. The slide has front serrations for easy cocking, and is fitted with steel sights that feature contrasting, luminscent dots.
